____________ Class A – Any item that is worn.

 

____________ Class B – Any item that is decorative (pillowcases, wall hanging, handkerchief, etc…)

 

GROUP 3 – Counted Cross Stitch

____________ Class A – Any item 6x6 or smaller

 

____________ Class B – Any item over 6x6 sizes

 

GROUP 4 – Needlework on Plastic Canvas

____________ Class A – Coasters, Tissue Box, Basket

 

____________ Class B – Any item not included in Class A

 

GROUP 5 – Quilting

____________ Class A – 12 1/2 –  inch x 121/2 – inch quilt square (unfinished)

 

____________ Class B – Rag Quilt

____________ Class C – Hand or Machine quilt

____________ Class D – Any other item quilted that is not listed above (finished)

 

 

GROUP 6 – Woodworking

____________ Class A –  Any wooden item decorative/household use (napkin holders, shadow boxes, tree ornament)

 

____________ Class B – Any children’s toy (lettered building blocks, tractor toy)

____________ Class C – Any item not listed above

 

GROUP 7 –  Recycled Items

____________ Class A – Handbag/purse

 

____________ Class B – Any item using parts from a tractor (stools, frames, painted pieces)

____________ Class C – Any item not listed above

 

GROUP 8 – Jewelry

____________ Class A – Bracelet, Necklace or Earrings – using beads (faux gems, glass, plastic or wood)

 

____________ Class B – Bracelet, Necklace or Earrings- using textile type materials

 

 

 

 

 

GROUP 9 – Miscellaneous Items

____________ Class A – Imagination is the key…(Example: Stuffed toys, centerpieces, etc..)

 

 

GROUP 10 – Bakery

 

____________ Class A – Cookies – any cookie with any type of sugar(s) and spice in the recipe.

 

____________ Class B – Snacks:

 

1.      Chex Mix/Gardettos Type - Sweet or spicy variety. (Example: Cajun spice or Puppy chow type)

2.      Trail Mix – Use dried fruits, candy coated chocolate, or coconut/tropical fruits

____________ Class C – Breads

 

1.      Yeast Bread – Use spice /sweetener in the recipe. (Example: Italian bread loaf with pepper jack cheese topping or a whole wheat honey loaf bread, etc…use imagination!!)

 

2.      Quick Bread – Any recipe using a spice and sugar or sweetener. (Example: Zucchini or pumpkin Bread with cinnamon spice)

 

 

GROUP 11– Juniors Only-Crafts

____________ Class A - Farm Toy(s) made from recycled products- can be cans/plastics/textiles. Be mindful of safety

 

____________ Class B- Christmas Ornament

 

 

GROUP 12 – Juniors Only-Bakery

____________ Class A – No Bake Cookies

 

____________ Class B –Snacks

Special Instructions- CRAFTS

 

 

1.      Only one entry item per person for each class in all groups. All entries must be from Grange Members Only

2.     All entries must have an entry form attached and filled out with the name area of the form folded under once to keep entrant’s identity hidden while judging.

 

3.     All toy or craft entries must follow safety guidelines. All pieces must be secured by stitching or glued with safe glues (non-toxic).

 

4.     All entries must have open back to easily view your handiwork, unless it is otherwise stated in the instructions. If it is finished (example: a pillow) the judges must be able to access the back of the stitches.

 

5.     All recycled entries may be from any type of recycled plastic/textiles/metals (tractor parts!!)…must be clean and safe. No sharp corners or jagged edges to avoid injury while handling

 

 

Special Instructions- BAKERY

 

  1. The bakery theme is sugar and spice and everything nice. This means your recipe must contain a sugar such as honey, brown, granulated or artificial sweeteners… for sugar free entries. ‘Spice’ are the traditional types. Cinnamon, or Cajun spice. Spice can also be bold garlic or peppers flavors are OK!
  2. All entries must have the entry form attached and filled out with the name area folded under once and then attached to the item. Key is to keep identity of entrant unknown while judging. No judging will take place without this form for any item.

     

  3. All entries must be adequately covered. Use a large ziplock bag to cover your item or secured wrapper.

     

  4. On the bottom of the larger plate (loaf or cookie entry) there must be a recipe with form. NO JUDGING WILL TAKE PLAC E WITHOUT A RECIPE.

     

Make only one loaf of bread. Cut one slice on a separate plate for judging. Make one dozen cookies with 3 on a separate plate for judging. No bake are allowed as long as unusual swee
